ASI Europe is delighted to hear that Alzheimer's Society has won Charity of the Year in the Professional Fundraising Awards in June 2009
The Alzheimer's Society has been a Progress user since 2005, and has always ensured that development and exploitation of its CRM database has been a keystone of its fundraising processes.
According to the Award website, a far-reaching transformation of the Alzheimer's Society has resulted in a 37 per cent increase in voluntary income, a host of new supporters, several successful awareness campaigns, and help for thousands of people affected by dementia. It has also led to it being awarded PF's Charity of the Year award.
Three years ago the Alzheimer's Society began a transformation. A new strategy based on the Society's core aims was introduced and the fundraising department was restructured into five key strategic business units: individual giving, high value giving, commercial income, partnership fundraising and marketing and publishing. A senior manager was appointed to lead each unit. Now, the figures speak for themselves. In the past three years net voluntary income has increased by 37 per cent to nearly £14m.
